Even though I plan on reauthoring without re-encoding, for the sake of my sanity, I tried to rip the DVD in Handbrake. But when I select play from the menu, the DVD starts playing for a split second before VLC stops playback altogether. I even tried playing the original disc in VLC. When I try to open it in DVD Decrypter (I know it's more so for CSS, but I figured I'd give it a try), it recognizes the disc as blank: I've tried copying the files to my hard drive directly, and here's what I get: Google has been less than helpful, so I'd figured I'd post here. It's like the DVD has some weird sort of copy protection, but that shouldn't even be a possibility considering it was a DVD I created myself with Windows DVD Maker. There's just one problem: I cannot copy the DVD. My goal is to use the video without re-encoding, together with a new menu system. I'd like to reauthor the DVD I created in Windows DVD Maker (you know, that handy little utility that existed in Windows 7).
